Lumixa Light Therapy

Lumixa Light Therapy is a unique multi-action treatment using patented Fluorescent Light Technology to repair, regenerate and energise the skin.

Benefits of Lumixa Light Therapy

Lumixa treatments deliver powerful skin health correction results with long-term benefits. The treatment stimulates fibroblasts to increase collagen, target the intrinsic signs of ageing and reactivate the skin matrix.

Long-term Benefits

  • Stimulates cellular activity and normalisation of skin functions
  • Stimulates healing and repair mechanisms
  • Natural glow enhancement
  • Anti-inflammatory and anti-redness effect
  • Stimulates collagen production

Suitable All-year Round

The treatments are non-invasive and suitable all-year round with no downtime and make-up can be applied immediately after the session. The treatments can be combined with other aesthetic treatments, such as microneedling and skin boosters, for superior and longer lasting results

The Treatment

Lumixa is a topical gel that is applied to the treatment area (face, neck, decolletage, hands) and activated with blue LED light. When activated the gel performs a photoconversion in the skin producing Fluorescent Light Energy (FLE). FLE illuminates and rejuvenates the skin within the complete light spectrum – blue, green, yellow and red. FLE acts within 3 layers of the skin simultaneously, giving you the benefit of multiple wavelengths within one treatment.

Blue light: works on the epidermis, targeting bacteria and inflammation. It reduces activity in the sebaceous glands and targets the bacteria responsible for acne. It can also calm sensitive, problematic skin.

Green light: works on the epidermis, stimulating healing and skin tone correction. It has a calming effect and can help lighten age spots, sun damage and hyperpigmentation for a brighter, more even complexion.

Yellow light: works on the dermis, boosting blood circulation which reduces oedema and swelling. It is used to relieve rosacea, flushed skin and redness. It can also help reduce melanin production.

Red light: works at the deepest level in the dermis targeting fibroblasts and stimulating new collagen and elastin production.

Alabaster Aesthetics uses a high powered LED light meaning that the treatment can be delivered in as little as 10 – 15 minutes.

The range itself consists of 2 products for a targeted treatment:

Frequently Asked Questions

While LED uses a single continuous light wavelength, Fluorescent Light Energy (FLE) covers a wide spectrum of wavelengths at the same time. LED delivers a blue light, and FLE generates green, yellow and red. FLE interacts with different parts of the epidermis (top layer of the skin) and dermis (the skin underneath the epidermis) reducing the signs of inflammageing skin and correcting intrinsic signs of ageing.

Lumixa accelerates an LED treatment that one step further, providing even better results.

There are very few side effects with Lumixa. In sensitive skin, mild erythema may be observed due to the heat. Clients may experience bronzing of the skin and darkening of freckles and sunspots, which dissipates after the treatment course.
Lumixa is totally safe! It’s a non-destructive, pain-free treatment. The gel remains on the skin surface and is not absorbed into the skin. Lumixa is non-photosensitising, so the treatment can be used all-year-round. It is suitable for use on all Fitzpatrick skin types.

Yes absolutely!
