Volume & Structure
Hyaluronic acid based dermal fillers provide volume and structure, reduce the appearance of facial lines and wrinkles whilst also restoring hyaluronic acid in your skin.
Dermal fillers lift, define and contour the face resulting an instantly refreshed and more youthful, glowing look.
Brighter, Firmer & More Rejuvenated Skin
Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring sugar produced by our own skin cells. It has an amazing ability to attract water, providing hydration to our skin.
Production slows dramatically as we age, resulting in loss of plumpness and elasticity of the skin. By injecting hyaluronic acid dermal fillers, the skin appears brighter, firmer and more rejuvenated, resulting in a more youthful appearance.
Lift, Define & Improve Symmetry
Hyaluronic acid dermal fillers can be injected into areas of the face where more definition and volume are required and also to improve symmetry. Dermal fillers can help contour certain areas where there may be issues with asymmetry resulting in a more balanced profile and also enhance your own natural features at the same time.
A minimal amount of dermal filler is often needed for maximum results - less is always more when it comes to dermal fillers, so that results are natural and fresh rather then looking overdone. The best results are those that enhance but do not alter your natural appearance.
Various Treatments Available
Dermal filler treatment areas include cheek and jaw enhancement, chin augmentation, tear trough, non-surgical rhinoplasty, nasolabial folds, marionette lines and lip augmentation.
Dermal fillers can also be injected into the skin to smooth out facial lines and wrinkles.
Unlike anti wrinkle injections, which relax your muscles to minimize the appearance of wrinkles, dermal fillers are known for plumping up, adding volume or fullness, along with smoothing the skin.
As with all treatments, a thorough consultation is carried out to discuss the various treatment options and determine the correct bespoke treatment plan that is right for you in order to enhance your own natural facial features.

Lip Enhancement
Lip augmentation continues to be one of the most requested dermal filler treatments, whether it be to enhance the lip volume, improve hydration, correct asymmetry or add definition.
Most lips will lose volume and definition with age. Hyaluronic acid lip fillers enhance the lips natural shape, whilst also adding definition and plumpness. Lip augmentation is therefore a perfect treatment for lips that are lacking in shape or elasticity, providing a more youthful look.
Every lip treatment is unique and tailored to the look you desire, whether it be to create a cupids bow to die for or to restore small amounts of lost volume.

Cheek Fillers
As you age, the cheeks may flatten and the skin begins to sag. This is caused by loss of elasticity in the skin and natural volume loss in the cheek area. Dermal filler injections are carefully placed to improve the contour of the cheeks and lift the skin.
Chin & Jawline Fillers
Dermal fillers to the chin and jaw line are a quick and effective way to improve definition and contour of the chin and jaw area.
As we age we begin to lose the supportive fatty structures in the chin which is a key focal area of the face. A weak chin can be strengthened through chin augmentation to provide a more balanced profile.
Jawline fillers can be placed to create a sharper jawline and also help correct the signs of ageing by helping to lift any loose skin around the neck and chin, whilst minimising the appearance of jowls.
Tear Trough (Under Eye) Filler
Tear trough filler restores lost volume and reduces dark circles under the eyes, whilst also reducing lines and wrinkles, to rejuvenate and refresh under the eye area.
The eye area is very delicate and must be treated carefully. It is important to use a premium product that is suitable for use under the eye area. JUVÉDERM® VOLBELLA® XC or TEOSYAL PURESENSE REDENSITY 2 are our favourite brands of hyaluronic acid dermal fillers to use in this sensitive area.
This treatments is not suitable if you have ‘puffy’ eye bags and instead you should look at having one of our favourite skin booster treatments, Nucelofill Soft Plus Eyes, or PRP.
Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty (Nose Reshaping)
This advanced dermal filler treatment is perfect if you are looking to reshape the nose but do not want to undergo surgery. Re-shaping of the nose is an extremely effective procedure for improving minor defects.
Dermal filler is carefully placed to straighten any bumps in the nose. A very small amount of filler is required to produce dramatic results.
As we age the tip of the nose can also start to droop. Dermal filler can be injected into the nose to lift the nasal tip.By strategically placing dermal fillers into the nose, the nose actually appears smaller and the side profile is straightened.
Hyaluronic acid dermal filler is injected using a tiny needle and small amounts are injected at any one time as this is a high risk area and knowledge of the anatomy is imperative.

Nasolabial Folds & Marionette Lines
Nasolabial folds are the nose to mouth lines and marionette lines are the lines that run down from the sides of your mouth. Due to the loss of elasticity in the skin, along with volume loss and gravity, these lines can become much more prominent with age.
Injecting these areas with dermal filler may produce a good result initially by filling the fold, along with the lines and wrinkles. However, this only adds additional weight to this area and so overtime my in fact worsen jowls overtime.
A more appropriate treatment may therefore be to use dermal fillers to add volume to the cheeks, chin and jaw to provide a lift. Dermal filler can also be injected along to the corners of the mouth to provide support. This can be combined other skin tightening treatments.
It is therefore very important to discuss this treatment before deciding that direct treatment to the nasolabial folds or marionette lines is suitable. A free consultation is carried out to assess which is the most appropriate treatment for your specific skin concerns.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are dermal fillers safe?
Dermal fillers are safe when administered by a suitable trained and qualified practitioner and the necessary precautions are taken. However, there are risks and it is extremely important to be aware of these. These will be discussed in detail during the consultation process.
Alabaster Aesthetics uses hyaluronic based fillers which can be dissolved if required.
Hyaluronic acid fillers are normally very well tolerated by clients with no adverse effects as HA is a natural constituent of the skin.
The most common side effects include swelling, redness, bruising, and pain at the injection site
Only the top brands are used which have undergone years of research and testing.
Our favourite brand to use is the Juvéderm Vycross range which causes minimal irritation and swelling and lasts longer.
Does the procedure hurt?
Discomfort is minimal. Anaesthetic cream is applied to the area when appropriate and the filler is then applied using a very fine needle or a blunt cannula to keep the procedure as pain free as possible.
How much do fillers cost?
The cost will depend on the brand of product used and the amount required to achieve the desired results. Multiple sessions may be required for Russian lips for example as we rarely put more than 1ml into the lips in one session.
We often get asked how many ml will I require and how much will that cost? However, advanced filler treatments are not administered per ml. The amount of dermal filler injected is tailored to you and the amount required to enhance your own facial features.
